Step 1 . Weigh 500g hawthorn, clean it with water, put it into a stainless steel pot, pour water into it, and then bring it to a medium heat. After the water is boiled, turn it to a low heat, cook it for 20 minutes, and then turn it off.
Step 2 . Take a large container, pour the boiled Hawthorn into the filter screen, place it on the container, and roll the Hawthorn in circles with a spoon to filter out the delicate hawthorn.
Step 3 . Weigh 38g of corn starch and 50g of water, mix them evenly and set aside.
Step 4 . Pour the filtered Hawthorn paste into the pot, add white granulated sugar, place it on the gas stove and turn on a low heat (stir it with a wooden shovel during the period).
Step 5 . After the white granulated sugar is completely dissolved, add a small amount of the mixed starch paste several times (during this period, use a wooden spatula to rapidly stir in one direction).
Step 6 . Boil the Hawthorn paste to a very viscous state, and turn off the fire when large bubbles appear.
Step 7 . Then pour the cooked Hawthorn paste into a container covered with fresh-keeping film and put it in the refrigerator for two hours before eating.
